It is reported that the Chinese Academy of Sciences has set up the Hong Kong Institute of Innovation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Hong Kong, and has established the Artificial Intelligence and Robot Innovation Center (Hong Kong AIR Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences) relying on the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Hong Kong AIR Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences-KCL Joint Laboratory "HK MedTech Hub" was established on the same day.

Mou Kexiong, head of the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, said that the strong alliance with King's College London has signed a contract to set up a joint laboratory, opening a new chapter in which the two sides work together to focus on cutting-edge technologies and solve major problems in the medical field. In his speech, Trembath Richard, senior vice president of King's College London, pointed out that he was looking forward to promoting more international cooperation. He was honored to participate in the development of "HK MedTech Hub". He believed that this cooperation not only brought the college the application practice in the field of biomedical engineering and imaging science, but also had more opportunities for more cooperation in other fields in the future.

In her speech, the Deputy Director of the Innovation, Technology and Industry Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Zhang Manli, pointed out that the Special Administrative Region Government fully supports the establishment of the "HK MedTech Hub" and expects the joint laboratory to contribute to the development of medical technology in Hong Kong. She believes that the establishment of the "HK MedTech Hub" in Hong Kong means a solid and strategic partnership between the Chinese Academy of Sciences and King's College London.

Huang Keqiang, president of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, said that Hong Kong has invested a lot of resources in innovation and technology and new industries in recent years, and Hong Kong needs to do more work in talents, innovation and development, and basic research.
